Product Liability Claims

When a consumer purchases or uses any product he/she is entitled to expect that the product works well and is not dangerous so as to cause personal injury and loss. If you have been injured by any product, whether or not you purchased it yourself, you may have grounds to make a claim for compensation.

Types of Product Liability Compensation Claims

Accident at work claims

If in the course of your employment you are caused to use any equipment which is hazardous or dangerous and causes you an injury you may be entitled to make a claim for compensation.

Accidents at home claims

The most common type of product claims arise out of household accidents caused by faulty electrical equipment such as washing machines, dryers and other consumer electrical products. It is all to common that a fire will be started causing the occupants of a property to be put at risk of a number of injuries as well as property damage.

Food and medicinal product liability claims

If you are injured or made unwell by any food or medicine that you or someone else has purchased then you may have grounds for a compensation claim if it can be shown that the manufacturers knew or ought to have known that their products were dangerous. Further, if the distributor of the product knew or ought to have known this then they may also be liable too.

Product liability compensation claims are almost always complex in terms of factual content and as such it is impossible to outline all of the incidences here. Please contact one of our specialist claims solicitors who will discuss your particular claim with you in detail. The more information that you have the better chance the claim has of being successful. It is also essential that you keep the product which caused the injuries safe so that it may be examined both by your solicitors and those acting on behalf of the Defendants.

If you have been injured as a result of a faulty product within the last 3 years simply complete the Claim Assessment Form and one of our specialist injury solicitors will contact you shortly. They will act on a completely no win, no fee basis and essentially the legal advice that you are given will be free.
