Car Claims – Injury Compensation

Otherwise known as road traffic accidents, car accident claims are by far the most prevalent type of Personal Injury Claim brought before the courts in England and Wales. Most car accident claims involve a degree of poor driving by either party which causes the accident to occur and both drivers and passengers to more often than not to sustain personal injury. In most cases however one driver is more to blame and most commonly the accident occurs because the driver was driving too fast or was driving too aggressively. Car accident claims can be categorised in to three main areas.

Compensation claims arising out of poor driving

Mistakes and therefore accidents occur when a drive becomes distracted and thus loses concentration. Excessive speed adds to this especially in poor driving conditions. Aggressive and selfish driving will also be considered a risk factor and statistics show that aggressive and dangerous drivers have more accidents.

Compensation claims arising out of poorly maintained roads

Roadway maintenance contributes to some road traffic accidents but not may. The main problems are debris on the highway, poor road signs, potholes and general road construction.
